The Affiliate Manual Review

In the last post I mentioned reviewing a specific affiliate product. Well, I’m actually going to look at 2 that I’ve come across recently (actually due to their owners using our Viddymatic web video plugin) – and I’ll be doing it in a mostly “look ma! No affiliate links” mode too…

That’s because it’s important you see these products in an objective light rather than thinking I’m ‘promoting’ them just for a few fast pennies. Thankfully, my mum and dad didn’t make me that way

The Power & Profit Is Not Just In The Product

When it comes to ANYthing you purchase (or spend TIME on) that relates to your business/money making endeavours, it’s all about looking at the investment potential. Behind any perceived hype or bull that may appear on a sales letter, the bottom line is whether the actual product you pay for can more than pay for itself – preferably in relatively short order.

That  doesn’t mean the product making money for you: it means being able to apply what the product offers with relative ease, and gain profitable results from taking those actions.

That’s what I’m basing my reviewing on, and as you’ll see,  that payback level reflects as much on the integrity of the seller as it does on the product itself. Bear that in mind when you read these reviews.

New to Affiliate Marketing? …or burned by previous bull?

The first product I’m going to point you to is a good choice if you’re just getting into the idea of making money online, and are ‘going solo’ working from home, is TheAffiliateManual.com (not an affiliate link).

Here’s the great thing about Neil’s affiliate manual product:

• Solid,  simple and proven affiliate system
• Evident commitment to its continual development and support
• Not driven by hype and dodgy paycheck screen-grabs
• A ’standard’ non-superhuman Dad who’s actually used the system to replace his job
• Written so you’ll actually want to read it!

I will say upfront that there are a couple of things that I feel could be added to the manual, but they are easily fixed and far, far-outweighed by the under-sold bonus that currently doubles its value and ability to help you apply it for profit – more on that in a moment.

The main parts of the product are an extensive central manual (in pdf format – first 25 pages can be downloaded free) that takes you through Neil’s simple but effective system. As alluded to by Neil on the site, there’s nothing revolutionary about it – which is to its absolute credit – because affiliate marketing is not rocket science, and doesn’t require magic “Guru” potions to make it pay…

…You just need a workable system combined with a commitment to see it through. And Neil walks you step by step through his in very well-written plain english.

On top of the central manual, Neil’s produced several very useful Action Plans which provide an excellent overview to follow for several parts of the system (creating and promoting articles, setting up websites for example).

One of the indirect uses I can see for these – moreso than for your own use – is when hiring outsourcers to do some of the graft for you. They’ll provide you with a handy template for what you want your hired guns to get done.

As Neil rightly states in the manual, affiliate marketing is about running a business: however big or small your efforts are. And to expand a business (and find the time to enjoy the profits) you’ll eventually – sooner than later – want to employ others to do the jobs you shouldn’t keep doing. I can see the Action Plans fitting into that very well.

Beyond the digital documents, there’s also a bonus ‘affiliate basics’ video series. Though it’s not created directly by Neil, the videos are well produced and complement the content of Neil’s system well. Though it would be great if Neil added some of his own at some point, even just to reinforce that it’s his system that’s being followed inside the manual (note: they may well be hidden in the bonus membership).

The Hidden Gem?

I mentioned earlier about your payback being tied to more than ‘the product’? Well this applies to The Affiliate Manual…

From what I’ve experienced in direct communication with Neil so far, he’s providing excellent support and advice to his customers, which makes the 30-day ‘inner circle’ bonus membership all the more valuable…

…with it being so new, early-adopting customers will have little competition in getting Neil’s attention for personalized answers to their questions

So, to sum things up, The Affiliate Manual – when combined with the current 30-day premium bonus is a worthy investment for those new to affiliate and referral marketing who want a real and honest system that’s instantly doable, rather than one built on yeuchy Guru-lists, and smoke ‘n’ mirrors.
